Penny Dreadful: City of Angels has been one of the bigger surprises in 2020. Perhaps many of us underestimated this cast. Each week is seemingly getting better, and the performances of Natalie Dormer and Nathan Lane have been off the charts. With that in mind, here are my 5 takeaways from this week’s episode.
5. The truth –
Raul seemingly knows the truth about who shot him, and it seems he may have forgiven his brother. I have a feeling that Detective Vega’s brother will eventually meet a tragic end in some act of bravery, which saves his brother.
4. A predictable love story –
Sister Molly and Detective Vega falling for each other didn’t catch anyone by surprise. Those feelings certainly brought a layer of tension to the final two minutes of the episode.
The award for the most gullible human being ever goes to …..
2. She’s everywhere!
I guess the best way to make sure that your plan for a race war kicks off without an issue is to play a part in literally every aspect of its execution.
1. I wasn’t expecting this, but it makes sense.
To this point, we have seen Magda in every area of Los Angeles but have yet to see her undercover in the Latin quarter until Sunday night.
