Kristen Stewart Joins Pablo Larrian’s ‘Spencer’

Kristen Stewart

Kristen Stewart has already zeroed in on her next project for 2021. According to Deadline, Stewart has signed on to play Princess Diana in Pablow Larrian’s ‘Spencer.’ The script is being written by Steven Knight and covers a weekend in the early 1990s where everything changed for the former Princess of Wales. Over the course of three days, Diana decided that her marriage wasn’t working with Prince Charles, and her life needed to take a different path.

Larraín is perhaps best known for his work on films that include Jackie and Neruda. The film will be produced by the director himself, along with Juan de Dios, Jonas Dornbach, Janine Jackowski, and Paul Webster. While most will be skeptical, to say the least, the director’s work on Jackie has undoubtedly earned him the benefit of the doubt. While Kristen Stewart wouldn’t have been one of my picks to attempt this role but neither was Natalie Portman and look at how she handled playing Jackie Kennedy. According to the article, the film will not deal with Diana’s death. What do you guys think? Is Stewart an excellent choice to play this iconic figure?
