Interview: Bradley Whitford and Max Minghella Discuss Season Four of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’

While Elisabeth Moss and Ann Down are often referred to as the biggest strengths in The Handmaid’s Tale, it’s the supporting cast that makes this show head and shoulders above the rest. Bradley Whitford and Max Minghella are perfect examples of this. While Whitford is perhaps best known for his work on The West Wing and Minghella is best connected to his roles in The Social Network and The Internship, each plays an important role in striking a balanced tone in the show.

The Handmaid's Tale

Whitford’s Commander Lawrence is wrestling with this idea of rebellion while still mourning the loss of his wife. Minghella’s Nick is obviously romantically involved with Moss’s June and seems ready to step up a fight for freedom. We were lucky enough to speak with both actors before the start of Season 4. We touched on topics ranging from whether there’s ever going to be a West Wing reboot to Elisabeth Moss’s impact as a director during season 4.

Are you excited for this season of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’?
